The art of folding words and silhouettes into books is a lovely way to reuse an old, unloved book and turn it into a thoughtful piece of art. Each letter needs a certain amount of pages to be folded, with two folds per page., precise to mm measurements. When done in sequence they produce letters or silhouettes.
No books are harmed in the making of these sculptures!
Each one of these sculptures is a labour of love which needs a really unique gift for book lovers. Every single one is different depending on the book used to fold the word art, the thickness of the leaves, the size of the book, and so on.
This listing is for the word Baby, in a chunky, block style alphabet in an old hardback book by Dorothea Moore called Terry The Girl Guide. The book is green with a beautiful floral pattern on the front cover.
